I don't know if there's any distinctly "black" parts of London as it were. But London is such an amazingly multicultural/ethnic city you should have no problem meeting anyone of any colour/variety/belief, etc. That's why I love it so. :)

There are many universities in and around London, but I am only personally experienced with London Metropolitan University (http://www.londonmet.ac.uk/) which is located in North London and has a very diverse student body. I am not sure of the exact statistics, but most people in my classes there were black or asian. I am a white female and was definitely a racial minority. I had one class with 100+ people where I was the only white person in the room. That being said, I was never made to feel like an outsider and all the students were very friendly to me and I was always included in their activities and conversations. I did a quick scan of London Metropolitan's website and it looks like they do have at least one nursing program, but I suppose it depends what specific area of nursing you're looking in to. The school is not in a fantastic part of the city, but I never felt unsafe walking around there especially since it was located right off the underground station so I didn't need to walk a lot through the area. London in general is a very diverse and accepting city so I don't think you'll feel like an outsider no matter where you end up. Hope this helps!

london is a fantastic city and if you want areas to move to where there is a large black culture try and finad a place in brixton in south london or hackney a london borough in east london hope this helps :)

i am going to london to do a part time dental nursing for 2 years. i want to work for a year after completing the course. I finally want to get into uni for dentistry. i dont have enough grades to get inti uni directly so i am taking this route. Is this good way you think? Will this help me for getting accepting into uni for dentistry later on?

If you haven't got the grades you'll need to prove yourself academically, its just the bottom line with courses like that. You must at least meet the minimum requirments. I would do your research into all of the dental schools in the UK (I'm assuming UK) and look for what they actually require, some will want different things. Have you ever thought about doing a degree, in something like biology or physiology or even anatomy. That would put you ahead of the rest, especially the school leavers and would prove you are academically suitable for a career in dentistry. Also I dont think you require 3 years of dental nursing to stand out, you could volunteer every summer between your degree years, you just need to show you have a realistic view of what a career in dentistry involves and that you are actively pursuing it. Do not rely on having experience in the dentistry field to get you onto the degree. Also I'm not sure, and you'll need to look into this, some universitys may offer a foundation entry into dentistry degree where when you finish your first year and meet all requirement you automatically get into the dentistry degree. I know this is true with medicine, and its like to require lower grades. I'm not 100% sure sorry. But just concentrate on meeting the minimum requirements, you dont want to waste 3 years and not even meet the criteria they ask for. You'd get rejected without them even reading your personal statement.

It might help. Especially if you get lots of As and only a few Bs. Work experience might help to. You might get letters of recomendation or maybe your boss knows someone who can pull strings, if they like your work that is!
