You are so to be admired. Nurses usually get paid great money. Just call one of their offices and ask. Nurses are in such demand that nobody would turn you down for a job because you asked how much you will be paid. What an honor to be gifted with talent like yours. God be with you and guide you where He wants you to go.

Nurses in the Bay Area actually earn good money. It depends on what company you work for. If you decide to go with an agency, then you earn a little less but get tax free housing allowance every month which costs about 4-5 thousand. You will probably get from 27-40 dollars an hour. The housing and hourly salary will be inversely proportional. More money for housing, lesser hourly pay and the other way around. If you decide to work for a hospital, you'll be earning from 45-70 dollars and hour. Again, it depends on your position in the hospital. Contingent/Per diem/On call or however you call it, earn closer to the upper limit because they don't have benefits. Benefited positions, although earn lesser than the per diems, get more perks and bonuses and of course a sure schedule.

What is realistically expected of a student nurse
What is realistically expected of a student nurse?
Hey im applying for uni's to do a mental health nursing course, today I received a rejection from London City University with the reason ... 'You did not demonstrate a clear understanding of what is required to be a student nurse/midwife You had some difficulty expressing yourself clearly verbally and/or in writing' Could any student nurses or previous student nurses give any information or advise on what is expected as there is not a large amount of information available online or at school. :)

Hello, Im a 2nd year adult student nurse. I remember in my interview them asking me about the basics about being a nurse, i talked about how it was important to do the little things eg. brushing the patients teeth, brushing their hair. I explained how if the patient feels better about themselves it may help them be more motivated. Especially in mental health where you will see alot of patients with depression. You also neeed to give the appearance that you are confident when you have the interview, i have learnt in nursing that if you are not confident in what you are doing the patients can see that, making them nervous. I have a book called "Essential Nursing Skills" by Nicol, Bavin, Bedford-Turner, Cronin and Rawlings-Anderson. It definitely helped me understand the basics of nursing. I no i felt exactly the same, there isn't alot of information available on the internet. Nursing is really hard, emotionally and physically but i really enjoy it!! Hope that helps.

if they have the money

why not?
3 :
Anybody can buy one . But its not very likely on a nurses wage . A doctor perhaps .
4 :
only if they do secret "nursing" with the doctors :P
5 :
yes if they win the lottery
6 :
hahahaha........when you're 60.
7 :
It's not illegal for them to do so, though where thy will get the money from I can't say. Most Nurses cannot afford such cars.
8 :
YES!!! Absolutely. While a brand new one or most models will cost upwards of $300K US, I just found one on www.autotrader.com (used cars) for about $50K US. An RN Nurse in Los Angeles can easily make $90K per year and more if she likes to work through agency jobs as well. If she put $10K as a down payment (from selling a previous car, for instance), over 60 months, with the interest rates as low as possible, she could get away with payments of about $750 per month. Not unheard of at all! So absolutely! :-)
9 :
Why not if they can earn £128 per hour as contract nurses.
10 :
Sure, why not? As long as you have the money, you can buy any car you want...
