100% SCAM First of all, no private employer can sponsor you for a visa. ONLY employers listed on the Home Office Register of Sponsors are allowed to employ non-EU workers http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/employers/points/sponsoringmigrants/registerofsponsors/ then on the right hand side under Related Documents, download the PDF Register of Sponsors - Employers These are the ONLY employers in the UK who can sponsor a foreign worker for a visa. If your employer is not listed the visa will never be approved as you are required to bring your employer's Certificate of Sponsorship to the British Embassy when you apply for a visa. Second, if you did not go to a nursing school in the EU, you cannot just work as a nurse in the UK, even as a private nurse, unless you have already completed a 20-day ONP (Overseas Nurses Programme) at an accredited school in the UK and are registered with the NMC. If you have not already lived in the UK where you attended an ONP then there is NO way you can get a visa to work as a nurse in the UK - every employer knows this. This would have been the first requirement in any legitimate job posting for a nurse. Third, if you are asked to SEND anything to the British embassy or anyone else, it's 100% a SCAM. Visas can only be applied for IN PERSON by YOU at the British embassy/consulate/high commission in YOUR country. So anyone asking you to contact some "embassy" or "agency" or "lawyer" by email with your documents or asking you to SEND money is always a scam. The ONLY way to get a visa is to go in person with your passport, original offer letter (must be mailed to your home, email/fax not accepted), copy of the employer's certificate of sponsorship (no certificate = no visa), application and supporting documentation. You will need to be fingerprinted and photographed at the embassy as part of the application process and you do not pay anything until you have actually handed in your documentation. DO NOT send these criminals any money or passport details - this is a long running scam If you need more proof it's a scam, write back to say that you just spoke to the Embassy and the embassy warned that there are a lot of job scams and to prove the are legitimate they must forward you a copy of their Certificate of Sponsorship that you will forward to the embassy for verification. If they say they don't have a certificate or that you need to pay for the certificate, you know it's a scam. An employer must hold a valid Certificate before they can even offer a job to a non-EU worker
