US Citizen. I want to live in London but where can I work; where can I live? I'm studying nursing in the US.?
I'm a 22 year old US Citizen. I want to apply for duel Citizenship in the UK. I know it can take 5 years before I can become a citizen. My problem is that I have to have visas to live there during the 5 year process; I don't know how I will make a living. Can someone please help me by explaining how to find LEGAL WORK in London. Also Where is a safe place for my daughter (shes 2) and I to live.

You can't get Dual citizenship unless you marry a citizen, at least one of your parents are british citizens, or you're born there in the first place!!!...after 5 years you are a NATUARLIZED citizen, still difficult. See if you're school offers a program to study abroad but that still isnt a permanent answer, plus your daughter. While you are there though you can network and see your options. In order to get a job there, being a US citizen the employer has to apply for the working visa on your behalf you 100% cannot as an individual. Meaning you need to get hired first and if they can get a citizern there, EU citizen or a common wealth citizen first, they will do that because its a cheaper and easier process to intrigrate them opposed to US citizens. It's hard but nursing is a very versitile field and they are always needed. Good luck. :) Any questions just message me
